ELLICOTT LIFE & HEALTH SAFETY

Location:  Calhan, CO

Construction for the project officially commenced in 2019, with phase 1 focusing on critical infrastructure improvements. This phase involved the complete replacement of the existing sanitary sewer system, ensuring the school complied with updated health and safety regulations while addressing longstanding maintenance issues. Additionally, phase 1 included the installation of secured entries at key access points to enhance the school’s overall security. These upgrades provided controlled access to the campus, improving the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors.

Phase 2, which focused on the addition of a high wind area, was successfully completed in December 2020. This phase introduced a 4,660-square-foot multipurpose room designed to serve the evolving needs of the school community. The room was built to provide additional seating for the cafeteria, accommodating larger groups of students and reducing congestion during meal times. Beyond its primary use as a cafeteria extension, the multipurpose space was designed to host a variety of after-school programs, including extracurricular activities, enrichment classes, and community events. Its flexibility also allows it to serve as a venue for occasional presentations, school meetings, and other large gatherings.
