AQUATIC FACILITIES REPLACEMENT

At the heart of our collaboration with South Suburban Parks & Recreation was a shared commitment to their mission of fostering healthy living through stewardship of the environments, parks, trails, and open spaces. The Ben Franklin, Harlow, and Holly pool sites underwent meticulous redesign and reconstruction, seamlessly blending Essenza Architecture’s vision with Golden Constructors’ expertise. The resulting 29,300-square foot Ben Franklin pool, 34,370-square-foot Harlow pool, and 41,550-square-foot Holly pool not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations.

The project was completed one month behind schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The original contract value was $10,967,073. Change orders were needed that increased the final dollar value due to material availability issues once again created by COVID-19.

Key subcontracts included demolition, masonry, concrete, electrical, painting and fencing.
