VAIL ART STUDIO

Location:  Vail, CO

GOLDEN CONSTRUCTORS led the construction of the Vail Art Studio, a year-round, ADA-accessible space designed to support artists in Vail’s stunning natural setting. Situated in Ford Park near the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and Gore Creek, the 750-square-foot building featured a 450-square-foot open studio, a foyer, an ADA-accessible bathroom, and storage space. The design incorporated high ceilings, 12-foot walls, and strategically placed windows to provide abundant natural light and functional wall space, with outdoor areas available for additional programming and workspace.

This project replaced the former “art shack” following a 2021 study that concluded a new structure would be more practical and cost-effective. Awarded through a competitive bid process, the project began in October 2024 and was completed in July of 2025.

The Vail Art Studio became a creative hub, fostering artistic expression and enriching the community’s cultural offerings.
